Pointed Key Arm & Y Arm

Dapped (Y-arm) Keys – This is a key design that connects the back of the keys to the rod with a Y-shaped arm. This key design is standard on most student and intermediate model flutes.
Pointed Key Arms – A key design that connects keys to the rod with a raised, pointed arm which extends to the center of the key. Also referred to as “styled keys” or “French pointed arms,” it is not common in student or most intermediate models.

C Footjoint & B Footjoint

C Footjoint : This can play low C but can't play low B
B Footjoint ( with Gizmo key ) : This is more expensive than C Footjoint because this can play a low C and low B ( more 1 low note) Gizmo Key : The key that control C in 4th octave easier .

Open hole VS Closed Hole

Open Hole : This is also known as the French style. Although precise technique is required to press down on the finger holes, it is also possible to utilize certain special techniques such as making variations in the sound produced by shifting the fingers ever so slightly.
Closed Hole : This is also known as the German style. The G key is easy to reach and this style is also suitable for players with small hands.

E-Mechanism

E Mechanism = A option of flute that help player to play high E easier .
Offset G : Normally this option can have " E mechanism" (usually in student model )
Inline G : Some people misunderstand Inline G can't have E mechanism but Inline G can have E mechanism ( often in very expensive flute) and NEL
NEL : An effective, economical alternative to the split E, this donut-shaped ring inserted into the lower G tonehole improves the response of the flute's high E without adversely affecting other notes

Offset G & Inline

[ Offset ] : Since the G key which is operated with the ring finger of the left hand is protruding, the finger can be positioned naturally, allowing for a reduced amount of burden on the wrist during a performance.
[ Inline ] : This is the type with the main keys positioned in a straight line. Itis not possible to use the E-mechanism on this type.

Flute ~

The flute is a musical instument of the woodwind family. Unlike woodwind instruments with reeds, a flute is an aerophone or reedless wind instument that produces its sound from the flow of air across an opening. According to the instrument classification of Hornbostel-Sachs, flutes are categorized as edge-blown aerophones.
A musician who plays the flute can be referred to as a flute player, a flautist, a flutist, or, less commonly, a fluter.
Aside from the voice, flutes are the earliest known musical instument . A number of flutes dating to about 43,000 to 35,000 years ago have been found in the Swabian Alb region of Germany. These flutes demonstrate that a developed musical tradition existed from the earliest period of modern human presence in Europe.
